Local Transportation
Denver is a fun city to walk around during good weather. Denver
also has several public transportation systems making getting
around downtown easy and convenient. Free shuttle buses run the
length of the 16th Street Mall every 90 seconds, and there are bus
terminals at each end of the Mall providing public transportation
throughout the entire metro area. Denver's new light rail system
starts south of the city at the Mudeo de las Americas, the first
Latino museum in Denver. The rail line passes through the center
of downtown and heads northeast to the Black American West
Museum. Taxicabs are plentiful.
