CHI '95: The Mosaic of Creativity

Mosaics collect together different shapes, colors, and materials to form both functional and decorative objects. Creativity arises from a mosaic of multiple perspectives, practices, concerns, and goals. This form of working with information parallels our vision of future computing systems. Attending the CHI conference is an excellent way for you to glimpse the future of human-computer interaction.

In addition to an excellent selection of tutorials, the premier technical program about human-computer interaction, an exciting offering of exhibits, and chances to mingle with colleagues in the field, at CHI '95 you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the Rocky Mountains and strolls through Denver's downtown café and shopping district.

This Advance Program provides an early look at the various conference activities. We have designed the program and even the physical layout of the conference site to enhance interaction and stimulate creative thinking. Design is the starting point for creativity in system development, and we are pleased to offer glimpses into this process through "Design Briefings," a new kind of technical presentation. When you are not attending a panel, demonstration, presentation, or special interest group, you should visit the meeting and refreshment areas at the Heart of the Conference in Hall A. There you will also find the Exhibits, Interactive Posters, Social Action Posters, Videos, and Interactive Experience.

Join us in Denver and contribute to the excitement and success of the conference. The greater the variety, the better the Mosaic! If you are a regular participant, we are happy to welcome you back.If you have never been to a CHI conference, then we extend a special invitation to join the community and broaden our horizons.

Be part of the mosaic at CHI '95!
