Workshops
Sunday
and Monday, May 7 - 8Workshops provide an extended forum for small groups (15 to 20 people) to exchange ideas on a specific topic of common interest. CHI '95 offers workshops covering a wide range of HCI topics. Workshops will be held on Sunday and Monday, May 7 and 8. Accepted workshop participants will be charged a special registration fee of $50 for each one-day workshop or $100 for a two-day workshop. The workshop organizer will provide a registration form upon acceptance.
Workshop participants are selected prior to CHI '95 based on submitted position statements outlining the participant's views on the workshop theme and reasons for interest in the workshop topic. Statements are typically 1 to 3 pages in length (exceptions are noted in the workshop descriptions).
A brief biography summarizing the participant's background, relevant experience, and current research or design activities should be submitted with the position statement, along with contact information (name, address, e-mail, telephone, and fax, if appropriate). Position statements and biographies should be submitted directly to the designated contact person. The contact person can also answer questions and provide additional information upon request. Position statements must be received by February 6, 1995. Submitters will be notified of their selection by March 4, 1995.
